Archery Australia is pleased to announce the release of the official Event Information Pack for the 2025 National Target Championships. Set to take place from 16–22 November 2025 at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in Canberra.
This comprehensive guide includes everything participants and supporters need to know ahead of the tournament—covering competition formats, daily schedules, venue details, dress regulations, equipment rules, and registration procedures. Whether you’re competing in the WA1440, WA900, WA720, or matchplay rounds, this document will help ensure a smooth and successful experience.

This special target event has been organised to encourage our youth archers to maintain their competition skills and to offer all others an opportunity to gain competitive experience.
Perfect 900 Score - Only 9 Junior Compound Archers and no Recurve Archers have achieved this. Anyone achieving 900 out of 900 will receive a $100 Voucher from Archery Supplies
PROGRAMME: NEWCASTLE - 90 arrows @ 20m, 122cm face
DATE: Saturday 1st November, 2025
ENTRY FEE: $28.00 (plus admin fee) for all participants, includes lunch
register in Assemble registrations close Oct 29
GRADES/AWARDS:
(1) Awards will be presented to 1st, 2nd & 3rd placings in each age group & discipline* (*refer note below). Note: There will be 1 Longbow Division, and 1 Barebow Division, regardless of age / gender of competitor*
(2) The round will be broken into 5 ends of six arrows, with a total of 15 ends being shot (90 arrows). A small break will be held at the conclusion of each five ends.
An “ALL GOLD RANGE” Medal will also be recognised should an archer shoot five (5) consecutive ends of six (6) arrows, within the brackets listed above – Total of thirty (30) arrows not previously achieved.
(3) An “ALL ROUND MEDALLION” will also be recognised should an archer shoot the complete round with all arrows scoring 9’s or 10’s, not previously achieved.
KNOCKOUT: There will be a knockout competition, open to all archers, while scores and placings are being checked.
COMMENCES: Registration 8:15am, Equipment Inspection 8:30am,
Practice commences at 8.45 with First arrow will be shot shortly thereafter.
CLOTHING: Registered club uniforms
CLOSING DATE: Wednesday 29th October 2025 Online entries only
GENERAL: A canteen will operate throughout the day.
