Illawarra Archers encourages anyone who may be interested in coaching to consider moving through the educational and training processes to become an Archery Australia accredited coach. It will have some challenges, but overall is not difficult, and can be very rewarding to experience working with people new to the sport of archery.
At present, Archery Australia sets the criteria and requirements for accreditation, and what the coaching levels are. Each State then delivers the training programs that meet the AA standards. For Illawarra Archers, Archery New South Wales (ANSW) provides the training.
One of the first places to go to for information is the Archery Australia website. This site has a section for coaching information.

As stated above, accreditation requires a combination of online and group course work. There is also a minimum number of hours of experience to be logged assisting with club level sessions for Come-and-Try or Beginners Courses.
Accreditation Renewal must be completed every three years.
