Club Update #2028, May 2021

The day is for Club Members to host some of their Family and/or Friends, to try archery in a fun setting. Club members will be responsible for their guests, making sure they all front up as a group sometime between 10am and 11am to sign in, get Safety Brief, etc and then accompany them along the target range as they shoot at different targets. Club members can be shooting too; only Beginner bows will be used.

When you and your group arrives, we'll do Paperwork, then a 10min Safety Briefing & Shooting Intro, then get started at the targets on Main Range, working across from T12 to T1 - a variety of targets to try!. Club members will predominately be hosting and supervising their family & friends’ shooting, as this is an opportunity for club members to share their archery experience.

Someone will have a lolly stash, to give out as they see good/winner/interesting shots.

Some games going on: quoits, Nerf (maybe), BocciBall, and whatever else Club Members pitch in to loan us.

BBQ from noonish. Food provided.

BYO drink (no alcohol). Water ($1) & Soft drink ($1.50) available for purchase.

Most important points for participants to know:

wear closed shoes -  tie back hair & no baggy tops to catch in the string -  bring water bottle, or water to purchase for $1

Online registration has closed but if any club member still wishes to include their family/friends, contact Marianne Gale-Earle or secretary@illawarraarchers.org.
