Also, as a heads up, the minutes of the most recent club meeting will be released soon, including the shooting calendar for next year! Stay tuned.

Back to Archery Tournament

This Saturday is the final Back to Archery Shoot, hosted at our club.

In this tournament your best two event scores count, so if you've had a dodgy day and a good day already, you can make it up!

If you are shooting in the tournament, register in Archers Diary / Club Shoot 47 (AA Tournament), and make sure that you register in your appropriate flight.

For details about the event, click here.

Remember, you don't have to compete in the Back to Archery event to shoot on the weekend. You can still participate as a club shoot only, but registering in Archers Diary for Club Shoot 47.

Please register by midnight on Friday, to assist with target allocations.

Christmas Break-Up

Our end of year event and presentations day will take place on Saturday, 19 December from 10am.

This is a fun get together where we shoot "The Wand" – your only chance to do so this year! The wand is a ribbon hung vertically down the middle of the target butt. The objective is to hit the ribbon – it doesn’t matter where, as long as you strike it. Archers are assigned a distance based on experience, and this handicap makes for a fun event where our newest archers can take on the old hands. So, turn up and give it a go.

A club-provided Christmas dinner will follow about 12.30pm, with soon after.

To help with catering, please let us know if you’re coming either by Wednesday 16 December, by either writing your name on the clubhouse blackboard, or clicking here for the technological ease of registering via the interweb.

Don’t forget to let us know if you’ll have family members in tow!

World Archery Indoor World Series

The next leg in the series is on the weekend of 19-20 December. At 10am on Sunday 20 December, our president, Chris Clerke, will coordinate a shoot for the event, although archers do have the option of shooting at any time over the weekend provided that they have a witness to sign their scorecard.

Now, remember how we said that there was a one-time opportunity to register to shoot in this international series from the safety of your own club? Well, we’ve been told that new registrations can continue, so if you didn’t put your name down before now, you can still participate by clicking here, whether this is your first time or you already shot the first round..

But, you must register by 13 December!

For further details, click here – this includes information about how to download the World Archery scoring app that’s needed for the event, but that’s a doddle, so don’t be concerned.
